I should formally introduce myself.
I'm Michael and I like to learn, experience, and grow.

Here's a story about how I got here
I started with graphic design. Art was always part of my life—drawing, photography, messing around in Photoshop back when it was CS, not CC. Before tech, I worked in construction, healthcare, and food service, but in 2013, a friend convinced me to check out a coding bootcamp. That was the moment everything clicked. My passion for creating shifted from visuals to full-on experiences. Twelve years later, I haven’t looked back.
Development isn’t just a career—it’s something I genuinely love. A hobby, a passion, a purpose.
If I had to sum up my skill set in one word? Relentless. I push myself. I like being outside my comfort zone. Volunteering for a crisis text line has taught me how to really listen and communicate under pressure. I have a mentor who constantly reminds me to never get too comfortable—so I don’t. I thrive in the process of learning, refining, and pushing forward. I compete with myself, and that’s where it ends. No ego, no attachment—just progress.
So what do I bring to the table? I’m determined. I’m creative. I’m relentless. And I love JavaScript.
Outside of work, I’m skiing, hiking, taking photos, making music, cooking, road-tripping—doing anything that reminds me that life isn’t meant to be just observed. It’s meant to be experienced.
